1. Gainesville Lake – Crappie
If you are looking for one of the best spots to fish for crappie than you need to head west – West Alabama, that is.

2. Pickwick Lake – Crappie
The crappie fisheries have done wonders for the lake and one need only troll 30 or 40 feet behind the boat to get instant results.

3. Millers Ferry – Crappie
A little more cunning is required to catch the crappie in this area and experts say that targeting the prespawn fish is key to a good catch.

4. Lake Eufaula – Largemouth Bass
During the month of April, this place is literally teeming with fish presenting an incredible opportunity for fishermen of all ages.

5. Lake Guntersville – Largemouth Bass
In the 1980s, the lake suffered an infestation of the fast-spreading Hydrilla weed, but the bass continued to adapt and grow, making this another perfect spot for fishing.

In Alabama there a several great places to fish. Smiths Pond is full of largemouth bass with the right water temperature to attract large amounts of this fish. This lake is in Barbour county and has a depth for fifty feet.
